Protect Your Eyes with Inbuilt Windows Feature

Supposed to sit before a PC for too long? Yeah, that's a No Way Out for those who are working in IT companies, Banking sectors, and Computer based businesses.

Depends on your body's capacity and health, your eyes tend to sore after prolonged exposure to screen light which in turn reduces work productivity, increases work errors, increases stress and strain.

What's the solution for this?  Despite the eye exercises and so many tips that you would get upon googling regarding this, what we could do technically in order to mitigate the impact is what I'm gonna tell you in this post. Let's go.

Like how TVs have been stuffed with eye-care features, our Windows operating system also has many custom features that we can make effective use of for our goodness sake.

There's an accessibility feature in Windows called "High Contrast Mode" which is actually meant for vision-impaired users. But, it also does serve the purpose of safeguarding the eyes of prolonged system users

Once your eyes are sore, it'll find difficult to see bright light, so it's the time for switching to High Contrast Mode, the amount of bright light our eyes getting exposed to gets reduced with this. In simple words, we're switching to dark theme for the safety of our eyes. Look at the pictures below which shows the difference between Normal Mode and High Contrast Mode:

Let's get technical, so, how to enable this feature?

Step1: Open "Control Panel" and click on "Ease of Access".

Step2: Now click on "Ease of Access Center" and then click on "Set up High Contrast" as pointed out in the image below:

Step3: From the new window that shows up, you'll be able to enable or disable "High Contrast Mode".

Step4: Read this carefully, you may need to customize High Contrast Mode according to your needs, as it ranges from bright shade themes to dark shade themes. This can be done by right clicking empty area of Desktop and choose Personalize to personalize your view.

Step5: That's it guys, have fun. See ya!
