MI Redmi 1s Personal Experience and Opinion

   First of all, don't think redmi 1s as a China made mobile, and all the mobiles from china are not bad, moreover, most of the top mobile brands have their manufacturing companies in china, sony does it's half of the manufacture in japan, and remaining half from America, China and Europe.

   

   I have bought this mobile, and you can trust me as a assured buyer, and Iam just using it for my rough purpose, I will now share my personal positive and negative opinions about the phone.

First of all, let's see the phone inside and then we can go for specs and all, the first image will show how the home screen of the redmi does look and you can install new themes provided by mi by signing up with an mi account as shown in the second image and all your themes you have downloaded will be saved under a menu called local.

   

   Lots of customizations have been provided, for which we should appreciate them. Yeah, you can separately apply different themes for different sections of your UI as shown below for lock screen, icons, etc etc,.,. And first in android without need of any third party-apps we have been provided with changing screen transition effects, yeah, there are around 8 different transition from which we can choose one as shown in the second picture below, and there is no home screen and app screen separately, not in a odd way, but, looks pretty more cool and easy to access. People say mi UI is hazzy, but, its not true, we have been provided with so many customization options for our facility, even we can change the boot audio, boot animation.

 And redmi comes with important apps pre-installed like facebook, google chrome browser, and mi browser, and no headache in arranging and organizing, under a folder named google all google related apps are given pre-installed which you can later uninstall if you don't want. Also, it comes with some good apps like Cleaner, Anti-virus, all together in one app named Security, it can clean up unwanted files, and clear cache and RAM, and provide anti-virus support, and can manage your blocklist, power saver options, data usage options, etc..,..

   Never think that this is just jelly-bean, it will make you think like you are working on iphone with its impressive response, and you will never feel that you are on jelly-bean, I already have been using a jelly-bean mobile, but, using, redmi was a completely different experience for me.

   When it comes to music, mi has got a good music player with lot of features like editing album art, shake to skip, filter options, folder player, which we miss in ordinary jelly-bean android variants, and special audio fx, and specific fx for mi headsets.

 For texting, and again comes a new app called swift key, which we fail to have as a default in current android variants, yes, the words can be formed by hand-swiping, this is old, but, never came with any phone by default.

 Important thing, the battery, redmi phone has a good battery, for a whole day, it got reduced by just 8% in idle condition and I was shocked to see that, battery backup is very good and don't expect much as you have paid just 6000 bucks and you got a worthwhile product with you.    And when it does come to FILE MANAGER, which I would like to say, we have a system like view in that, we get a categorized view, along with the size bar at the bottom as we see in windows, and the usual view to which we can switch between, apparent from the following screenshots.

   Apart from these all, there are other more options for you like DND, nothing much, a modified silence-mode, and typical silence-mode is also provided, and you can configure what long-pressing home button menu button or back button or volume button can do, though we miss a camera button in this phone, through this setting, we can set that.

And we have a notification light underneath the home button, and that small cute light can glow up in 7 different colors, and we can set different colors for different kinds of notifications.

At last what comes is the lite mode, the lite mode setting will disable all battery-drinking apps, and your phone works in lite mode like a ordinary mobile and fonts will be bigger and can be useful for elders, and easy options instead of advance options, and there is another mode called guest mode, which hides messages and other stuffs, immediately after you turn it on, and will require password on enabling.

This is all about phone internals, and let's look at the important things of the phone, yeah, firstly let's go to camera, to say about redmi phone, the rear camera functions well, and captures cool shots even at low light times, with its retina lens which even 10k worth mobiles fail to do, at this cost, getting a 8MP camera is worthwhile, and camera is way better and beats all other phones below 13k range.

 Personal opinion:-

   Its a must-buy phone for every user, you can blindly go for it, no lags at all, has a good camera to take snaps, and has a good processor to deal with your apps, and good GPU for your games to play with, moreover, a good battery backup, camera and battery are the best thing we got in redmi, and I should say, phone seems to be heating a little bit, for prolonged usage, and HD videos being played very well, IPS display gives clear view with its great resolution and pixel density with great wide-angle view.

   Phone seems to be little-heavy, equal to sony and samsung, not much, I compared with my old phone and this phone weighs 150gms around, moreover, at this cost, you should not anticipate a lot, and the design of the phone though not very much attractive, neither a bad design, looks good in front, better than other high-end mobiles.
